“You will be fully energized, not with knowledge, but with wisdom. Not with any limitation, but with a feeling of limitless, endless wisdom and happiness. We are grateful to this Pleiadian God of Wisdom, Muruga, for his compassion towards human beings.”
– Dr. Pillai
Thai Krithigai is one of the auspicious days for Muruga and falls in the Tamil month of Thai (January-February) in the Dakshinayana Punyakalam (the holy period when the Sun moves southward). According to scriptures, Muruga, born under the Krithigai star, emerged from the Third Eye of Shiva. Therefore, the celebration of this spiritual Warrior God on Krithigai star day in the month of Thai holds tremendous significance. Worshipping Muruga on this auspicious day can help gain access to his powerful energy and supreme wisdom, remove obstacles blocking your path, confer his Divine protective shield around you, and safeguard you from negative energies and influences.
On Thai Krithigai, Pillai Center will be performing an exclusive suite of services including a Grand Fire Lab, with Poojas at 3 Muruga Powerspots, Hydration Pooja, and chanting of Muruga’s sacred hymns to enable you to receive his blessings of Divine protection, prosperity, fulfillment of wishes, and success in endeavors.
According to Skanda Purana, Muruga emerged from the Third Eye of Shiva as six flames. The flames were carried by Agni (Fire God) and Vayu (Wind God) to the Saravana Poigai (pond), where the Karthigai Pengal (maidens) took care of the six babies found in the lotus flowers in the pond.
The six babies were later embraced by Mother Goddess Parvati and merged into one infant with six heads, twelve hands, and came to be known as Shanmuga. Muruga’s six heads signify his six attributes- Jnana (wisdom), Vairagya (detachment), Bala (strength), Keerti (fame), Shree (wealth), and Aishwarya (divine powers). Shiva bestows boons on the Karthigai maidens and bestowed on them the status of stars in reward for their service. It is believed that Shiva promised all his devotees that their wishes would become fruitful if they worship Muruga on the special day of Krithigai.
As per sacred texts, performing the Bala Subramaniyar Fire Lab propitiating Muruga in his infant form can help fulfill your wishes and bestow the following blessings:
