Karma Relief Workshop: Guided Creation & Dissolving of Clay Ganesha
“The clay image of Ganesha has come to stay as a tradition, particularly on the day of Ganesha’s birthday. When you dissolve the clay image of Ganesha at the end of his birthday ritual, you dissolve the karma of misfortune, particularly of body, mind, and finances.” — Dr. Pillai
The most important gift that Ganesha offers on his birthday is taking on the karma of others and sacrificing himself so that they can experience a new destiny. Senior Teachers Gina (Lakshmi) and Sunny (Kalkidas) will guide you through an interactive experience in which you will mold clay into Ganesha’s form. This special statue absorbs your karma, including bad luck and disease.
You will keep it in your home for three days to allow time for Ganesha to absorb your karma, then dissolve it under running water. This process is designed to diffuse stubborn karma, grant a major breakthrough, and bestow a new destiny.
This workshop is open to all levels of artistic ability, with an alternative method of creating and dissolving turmeric balls, which also have karma-absorbing properties.
