“Varahi is relatively a new Goddess as far as her popularity is concerned in contemporary times, but she is not really new. She is part of the Goddess Pantheon. She is a warrior, the Commander in Chief of the Goddess Lalitha. She is ferocious but at the same time, compassionate to the poor people. This is the Goddess who is most appropriate at this time because she gives wealth and punishes people who are the wrongdoers, demonic people.  

So she is going to punish the evil people and protect the good people, and that is in general what Varahi symbolizes. Her emergence at this particular time is because she decided it was the right time to interfere with the problems of the human beings. With her help, the world will be fixed.

People need to understand how to perform her worship properly.


The Meaning of Her Pig Face

“Varahi is a Goddess with the face of a boar or a pig. Pig is an archetype of luck, money, and wealth. In the Indian tradition, the high god Vishnu had to assume the pig-headed form, Varaha, in order to fight a demon. The demon, the mythology says, submerged the earth plane under the sea and Vishnu came as Varaha to rescue the earth. He brought the earth back. The symbolism here is very clear - the pig is a symbol of the earth, of protection of the earth plane and that is what we need at this time. We all need protection. 

Varahi is the female counterpart of Varaha who represents Varaha’s power. She brings prosperity and gold. Everything on and underneath the earth is under her control. That is why she is the Goddess of Wealth as well. 

The Difference Between Varahi & Lakshmi

“Varahi is a form of Lakshmi. According to some traditions, she will give more wealth to devotees than Lakshmi can. 

The main difference between Lakshmi and Varahi is that Varahi is a fighter. She can both destroy the enemies and give you money. This is a very rare combination unless you go to Mahalakshmi, because the traditional Lakshmi will not kill. Lakshmi will give you money, luxury, happiness, clothes, home - all these things, but Varahi will do that equally good or even better than Lakshmi, and also destroy negativity within you and also from outside. 

That is the specialty of Varahi. That is why I chose her for this program.

Varahi Destroys Evil Inside & Out

“The evil is not just outside, it is also inside. On the inside, we hurt ourselves through our mind, through our speech, through our eyes and through our actions. We hurt ourselves through our mind because we do not wish good things for ourselves and that is the most difficult thing for most people. If you want a Rolls Royce, you should not have any judgment.
